Clear PVC spiral reinforced hose with high-carbon steel wire helix. Transparent wall, 6-200mm ID, 0.3-0.8MPa, -10C to +65C. Food-grade & antistatic options, OEM from 500m.
Product Specification:FOSITE clear PVC spiral reinforced hose is a flexible, transparent suction and discharge hose built around a high-carbon steel wire helix, made for distributors, industrial buyers, farms and OEM brands that need dependable fluid transfer in demanding conditions. The crystal-clear PVC wall lets operators see the flow at a glance, while the embedded spiral wire stops the hose from collapsing under vacuum and keeps it from kinking when it is dragged across a jobsite. Available from 1/4 inch to 8 inch inner diameter in phthalate-free, food-grade and antistatic compounds, it handles water, mild chemicals, slurry, light solids and food-grade transfer — supplied in coils, cut lengths or fully assembled with couplings. Every PVC spiral reinforced hose order is produced to your bore, wall thickness and pressure class.
High-carbon galvanized wire is wound continuously into the wall, so the hose resists vacuum collapse and keeps its full bore on tight bends instead of flattening like an unreinforced tube.
The see-through PVC shows blockages, air bubbles and product colour instantly — operators spot a starved pump or a slug of air before it becomes downtime.
PVC spiral reinforced hose sizes run from 6 mm to 200 mm (1/4" to 8") inner diameter, wall 2.0–8.0 mm, working pressure 0.3–0.8 MPa by size, burst pressure at least 3× the working rating.
The smooth bore resists mild acids, alkalis, salt water, detergents and suspended solids, which makes this PVC spiral reinforced hose suitable for slurry and light-solids transfer as well as clean water.
Stable from -10°C to +65°C in continuous service; a UV-stabilised compound is available for outdoor irrigation and long-term sun exposure.

| PVC compound | Virgin suspension PVC with a phthalate-free plasticiser, formulated in-house and granulated before extrusion. No recycled regrind goes into the wall, so clarity and pressure rating stay consistent from coil to coil. |
| Wire reinforcement | High-carbon steel wire, galvanized for corrosion protection, spiralled at a pitch matched to the bore — tighter on small sizes for pressure, wider on large sizes so the hose still coils easily. This is what keeps the PVC spiral reinforced hose open on a tight coil. |
| Extrusion | The wall is co-extruded in a single pass around the wire helix, which bonds the wire to the PVC without glue lines or voids and gives a wall thickness tolerance of ±0.3 mm. |
| Surface and finish | Glossy, low-friction bore for high flow and easy cleaning; smooth exterior that resists dirt build-up. A matte exterior is available for handling-heavy applications. |
| Colour coding | The blue and red stripe is co-extruded, not painted, so it will not peel; stripe colour can be matched to your brand or used to code size and pressure class. |
| Optional compounds | Food-grade (FDA / EU 10/2011), antistatic (surface resistivity ≤ 106 Ω), UV-stabilised for outdoor duty, and a cold-flex compound rated to -20°C. |
Tools needed: hose cutter or sharp knife, barbed insert fittings, hose clamps (2 per joint), hot water (60–70°C) for softening, pressure gauge.
Usage notes: keep the bend radius at 6× outside diameter or more — a tighter bend stresses the wire and shortens service life. Cut the PVC spiral reinforced hose with a hose cutter, never a saw: a frayed wire end will pierce the wall. Do not drag it over sharp edges or hot surfaces, and do not use it for aromatic solvents, concentrated acids or ketones. Store coiled, flat, out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources and ozone-generating equipment. For vacuum duty, keep the coil ends straight for at least 3× the diameter to avoid stressing the helix.
The PVC spiral reinforced hose is specified wherever a clear line has to bend around equipment, survive vacuum and still let the operator see what is moving through it.

Q: What is a PVC spiral reinforced hose?
A: It is a flexible PVC hose with a high-carbon steel wire wound in a spiral inside the wall. The wire carries the load, so the hose can be pulled, bent and used under vacuum without collapsing — something a plain PVC tube cannot do.
Q: What sizes and pressures can you supply?
A: Our PVC spiral reinforced hose runs from 6 mm to 200 mm (1/4" to 8"), wall 2.0–8.0 mm, working pressure 0.3–0.8 MPa depending on bore, with a burst rating of at least three times the working pressure. Tell us the medium and flow rate and we will confirm the size.
Q: Can this hose be used for suction duty?
A: Yes. The steel helix is bonded into the wall, so a PVC spiral reinforced hose keeps its bore open under negative pressure, up to full vacuum on sizes 50 mm and below. For larger sizes we recommend a heavier wall, and the coil ends should be kept straight for at least three diameters.
Q: Is the hose food-grade?
A: The standard compound is phthalate-free but not food-contact certified. We supply a food-grade version tested to FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and EU 10/2011 on request, with the migration report attached to the shipment.
Q: What is the MOQ and lead time?
A: Standard MOQ is 500 m per size, and production takes 15–25 working days after deposit. Trial orders below MOQ can be discussed for stock colours.
Q: How is the hose packed and loaded?
A: Coils of 30, 50 or 100 m are wrapped in PE film and woven bag, then cartoned or palletised. Loading quantity depends on bore and packing — send us your order list and we will confirm a container plan.
Q: Can you print our logo on the hose?
A: Yes. Brand, size, working pressure and certification marks can be printed on the wall, and the stripe colour can match your brand. Private label starts from 500 m per size.
